There is always something happening around the Club to keep the kids entertained. The playground, pool, gym and TV lounge are all attractions the children seek out for themselves, but in addition we run a variety of activities to help take the pressure off parents and give the kids a bit of extra fun.

Traditionally our two most popular regular activities are Friday Funtime, an informal playgroup session held from 9:30 to 11:30 every Friday, and Sunday Kids Club, held on Sunday afternoons between 2:00 and 5:00.

Friday Funtime is an informal playgroup session run by parents with the assistance of YC&AC staff, and is open to all children from 0-5 years, including babies.

Sunday Kids Club meanwhile is for children aged between four and eight years old, and is an opportunity for parents to relax, work out or play sports, safe in the knowledge that their children are in good hands.

In addition to these regular activities, the Club also organizes many events appropriate to the season, such as the annual Easter Egg Hunt, Pool Party and visit from Santa. Please keep an eye on our e-mail Bulletins and Calendars for news of all upcoming kids activities.

YC&AC’s wide range of facilities allows for us to provide outstanding exposure and opportunities for your children in order to enhance their enjoyment of fitness; sport; team-work; and accomplishments, while building their confidence and friendships!

Our kids programmes are designed to cater to all levels of skill while advancing all participants as a team. We make good players into better players, and inturn advance lower levelled players faster. Winning while keeping the FUNdamentals at heart!

Programmes are FREE for YC&AC members in almost all cases! (Non-members can join some activities at very fair fees) Please inquire at sports.ops@ycac.or.jp regarding Sports & Dance activities.

Events / Activities

Friday Funtime (Fridays 9:30-11:30am 0 to 4 years) Moms and kids Friday Funtime is an informal playgroup session where mums, dads, caregivers, children and babies meet together in a relaxed environment. Many friendships are made between both the children and the parents. No child is too young for Friday Funtime. All children from 0-5 years, including babies, love new experiences and benefit from developing sensory, social and communication skills through social and physical activities. Come and join the fun!
Children in Grades 1 through 3 have their sessions on Mondays, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m, while those in Grades 4 through 6 play at the same time on Wednesdays. Many of our basketball players walk or take a bus to the Club from the local international schools.
Entry to our basketball program is free to members.

Kids Club (Sundays 2-5pm 4-8 years) Parents, let us take care of your children on Sunday afternoons between 2:00 and 5:00pm. while you work out, play sports or otherwise enjoy the Club facilities. We'll be sure to keep the kids entertained with a variety of games, crafts and other amusements.

Youth / Teen Club (Friday 6pm - close) Enjoy a night hanging out with like-minded youths/teens in a safe, supervised environment. Bowling, WII ladder competitions, Music, with a full menu available for ordering! Special suprises too!

Dance

YC&AC boasts a newly renovated Studio with a professional grade dance floor; adjustable ballet barres; full sized mirrors; and a Bose sound system. Our dancers, not only for our kids programmes, are of the highest calibre people and instructors whom are comfortable in both English and Japanese.

Ballet (Thursday 3:30pm 3-4yrs; 4:20pm 5-6yrs. ): Taught by an internationally accomplished dancer whom is still active on the competition circuit. The kids love the classes even more than the parents love to watch them!

Modern Dance (Fridays 3:45pm 6-8yrs. 4:45pm 9+yrs: inquire about other classes) Hip hop, Jazz, and contemporary styles. Taught by an acclaimed dancer, choreographer and singer whom has orchestrated complete shows and been awarded in Japan and abroad. A great class for the kids!
