Founded in 1868, YC&AC is a proud founding member of Yokohama's vibrant international community and remains an influential presence in local sports and social circles to this day. The City of Yokohama

The City of Yokohama (http://www.city.yokohama.lg.jp/en/) provides a wide range of invaluable information in English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Spanish and Portuguese, in both print and online formats. The Yokohama Visitors Guide (http://www.welcome.city.yokohama.jp/eng/tourism/index.html) publishes a useful calendar of the events which are held annually in the city (http://www.welcome.city.yokohama.jp/eng/tourism/times/index2.html).

The Yokohama Association for International Communications and Exchanges (YOKE) (http://www.yoke.or.jp/english/index.html) posts news of upcoming events and all variety of activities both on its website and in its monthly newsletter (http://www.yoke.or.jp/jigyou/yokohamaecho.pdf).

Education

The children of YC&AC members attend a variety of Japanese and international schools in Yokohama and Tokyo. Historically YC&AC has enjoyed particularly close relationships with the Club's close neighbors Saint Maur International School (http://www.stmaur.ac.jp/) and Yokohama International School (http://www.yis.ac.jp/). Thousands of alumni from these schools have fond memories of YC&AC from their childhood.

YC&AC hosts on its own grounds Green Hill Child Development Center and Green Hills Daycare Center (www.gh-alae.com).

Sports

Rugby The YC&AC Ist XV play in the Japan Rugby Football Union's East Japan Top Club League (http://jrfu.org/)

The YC&AC rugby teams are sponsored by Morningstar Gold (http://www.msgold.com.au/) and Magellan (http://www.magellanfp.com/).


Football The YC&AC Ist and 2nd XIs play in the Tokyo Metropolis League (http://www.footyjapancompetitions.com/). YC&AC also hosts many TML games not directly involving the Club's own football teams.

The YC&AC Over 35s play mostly friendly fixtures organized with the cooperation of the Yokohama Football Association (http://www.yokohama-fa.or.jp/index.html). In the summer, the Over 35s play in the Kanagawa Football Association's Masters League (http://www.kanagawa-fa.gr.jp/senior/index.htm).

All of the YC&AC men's football teams are sponsored by Tullett Prebon (http://www.tullettprebon.com/)

The British Football Academy (http://www.british-football-academy.com/) has held soccer school classes at the Club for many years.

YC&AC enjoys a close friendship with the professional Yokohama F. Marinos football team (http://www.f-marinos.com/).


Baseball The YC&AC baseball team play mostly friendly fixtures on the Club's famous old grounds and, over the years, has come to form an especially close friendship with the Tokyo Eagles (http://www.eteamz.com/tokyoeagles/).

Yokohama Baseball Stadium is located close to the site of the YC&AC's original grounds in Yokohama Park. Come on you Baystars! (http://www.baystars.co.jp/bay/)


Basketball Pape Mour Faye, a professional basketball player with Yokohama B-Corsairs (http://b-corsairs.com/), served as a coach and intern at YC&AC in the summer of 2011.
